Last Day

For those of you fearing your last day;

If you knew it was your last day, what would you do?
Run through the leaves with me next to you?
Would you go apologize to anyone youve hurt
Or would you thank the ones that never treated you like dirt
Some People change but however
Ill always argue that a moment is forever
Surround yourself with the ones you love
The negativity, they can help you get rid of
People go as fast as they arrive
Cherish the memories and youll feel alive
Live every day as if it were your last
And try not to get stuck in the days of the past
Its hard to think of how your life should be spent
Just promise me youll live in the present

What Comes After?

Today i told my dad "lets go" and he asked "where are we going?" An trying to be my sarcastic self i replied "gee i dont know where ARE we going?" It was an instinct. A natural sarcastic reaction. But it got me thinking, where are we going? And im not talking like who am i going to marry or what am i going to do with my life...but.. What happens after? Where do we, go? Is there something beyond heaven and spirituality? Does the soul reach a higher level than heaven? And if it does, how will we know we are past heaven? As far as i am concerned heaven is the best place we can get to... For those of us who believe in it of course.  Many believe in reincarnation, you know past lives and future selves. But what happens the the identity, to the soul? Do humans have the capability of understanding the basic principles of if and what awaits the soul after heaven? Is there an "after heaven"? After we die, well our bodies anyway, the mind goes into this vast emptiness, i believe, but of course we dont feel it because our physical touch and feel arent with us anymore. My pastor always says that to be christian, you cant just be a good person within the confinements of the church, but in the confinements of the heart and soul too. I believe him of course. But sometimes i cant help but wonder what comes after. But when i find myself looking for answers that arent my business to know, i remind myself of a quote i once read "my priest says God has a reason for everything, but that he doesnt owe us any explanations"
I will always believe that every persons life has an individual meaning and greater purpose. I respect that each is entitled to their own opinions about life and are free to ask whatever questions they wish. But that is not my curiosity, my questioning goes a bit further than the superficial question “what is the meaning of life?”...but... what will happen to the soul after “life?”
